If you are in Athens and especially if you are with friends or have children, we suggest visting the Museum of Illusions. It is a museum different from others, which is going to teach you, entertain you, drive your senses crazy and at the same time excite you. It is located very close to Monastiraki Square (Monastiraki metro station) in the center of Athens and it is not at all difficult to find even thought its building is not on the street but “hidden” in one of the many wonderful secret places of Athens. Signs will lead you though.

Because the museum is small and only a certain number of people can come in each time, sometimes it depends on the day and your luck how much time are you going to wait to get in. Your vacation and your stay in Athens will propably won’t last long so you definitely need to be organized as well as possible. Museum of Illusions
Your child’s head on a plate, on a set table, looks a bit macabre at first, but the process and the end result are definitely fun especially for kids! So go for it!
In the museum you can also find “games” with light and shadows and even grown-ups can become children again.
